Razi Amengaetego vs Peter Oboya

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex, Yaoundé,  taking place on 22/10/2043:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Razi Amengaetego (1(1) - 0) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Peter Oboya(5 - 13(1) - 6) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Amengaetego weighed in at 175 pounds, while Oboya weighed in at 174 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Briar Meiffret, and the three ringside judges are Bellamy Shaznay, Leggett Oliphant and Hackett Soufflot.  

Round 1: 

Amengaetego lands a stinging jab.  
Amengaetego closes the distance and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Oboya throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Amengaetego gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Amengaetego holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Amengaetego pushes his forearm into Oboya's face.  The referee warns Amengaetego and breaks the clinch.  
Amengaetego is looking to close the distance and walks Oboya onto the ropes.  Amengaetego lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Amengaetego clinches his opponent.  Amengaetego leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Oboya is looking to keep his distance.  Amengaetego lands a solid overhand left.  
Amengaetego connects with a stinging right hook.  
Amengaetego throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Amengaetego clinches his opponent.  Amengaetego leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Amengaetego's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Amengaetego steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING OBOYA TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Oboya could be stopped here, if Amengaetego can find the right shot!  Amengaetego lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND OBOYA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Oboya has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Amengaetego closes the distance.  Oboya throws a right hook, but Amengaetego holds on to his opponent.  Amengaetego is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Amengaetego.

Amengaetego manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Amengaetego lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Amengaetego ties up his opponent. Amengaetego gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Amengaetego holds on to his opponent.  Amengaetego leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Oboya's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Oboya's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Amengaetego is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Oboya quickly recovers.

Amengaetego walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Amengaetego lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Amengaetego ties up his opponent.  Amengaetego leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Amengaetego to stop holding.

Amengaetego crashes a big left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE OBOYA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Oboya almost instantly recovers. 
Oboya steps to the outside.  Amengaetego lands a cross to Oboya's body.  
Amengaetego is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Amengaetego lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  As Amengaetego tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Oboya dabs at his face checking for damage.  Oboya has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Oboya throws a left hook, but Amengaetego holds on to his opponent.  Amengaetego leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Amengaetego to stop holding.  
Amengaetego lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Amengaetego gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Amengaetego digs in a firm left hook to Oboya's body.  
Amengaetego forces Oboya to back into the corner.  Amengaetego lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Amengaetego lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Oboya quickly recovers. 
Amengaetego lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Amengaetego lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Oboya tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.

Amengaetego lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND OBOYA IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Amengaetego walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Amengaetego slams a spiteful right hook into his opponents body.  OBOYA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Oboya has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Oboya's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Some sustained pressure from Amengaetego could be enough to finish Oboya!  Amengaetego digs in a telling right uppercut to his opponents body.  OBOYA IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  
Amengaetego lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body, AND DOWN GOES OBOYA!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Oboya now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Amengaetego gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Oboya steps away from his opponent.  Amengaetego finds the target with a jab.  
Amengaetego feints a right, and then attempts to land a cross, but Oboya slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Amengaetego sidesteps to the left of his opponent and whips in a hurtful left hook to his opponents body.  OBOYA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Oboya almost instantly recovers. 
Amengaetego is on target with a right hook to Oboya's ribcage.  
Amengaetego advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Amengaetego pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS OBOYA!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Amengaetego!
