Elliot Lewis vs Bruce Devlin

Boxing Daily Report from the HBLUE Promotions promoted show at Olympic Stadium, London,  taking place on 03/10/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the British Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Elliot Lewis (23(15) - 0) who hails from Sunderland, UK and Bruce Devlin(22(8) - 7(4)) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both Lewis and Devlin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Keith Gruffudd, and the three ringside judges are Paul McCowen, Wayne Mattick and Peter Lynch.  

Round 1: 

Devlin lands a stiff jab.  
Lewis attempts to land a right hook, but Devlin sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Lewis steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Devlin gets on the inside.  Lewis is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Lewis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Lewis ties up his opponent.  Lewis pushes his forearm into Devlin's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Devlin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Devlin attempts to land a right hook, but Lewis sidesteps and counters with a nasty right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE DEVLIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Devlin quickly recovers. 
Lewis lands with a spiteful jab.  
Devlin steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Devlin digs in a left hook to Lewis's body.  
Lewis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Devlin lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Lewis lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Devlin steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Devlin walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Devlin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Devlin hits home with a stinging right hook.  Devlin attempts to land a right hook, but Lewis parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Devlin's ribcage.  
Devlin throws a left uppercut, but Lewis ties up his opponent.  Devlin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Lewis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lewis lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Lewis steps away from his opponent and lands a powerful cross.  DEVLIN IS HURT!  Devlin quickly recovers. 
Devlin gets on the inside.  Lewis is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Lewis clinches his opponent.  Devlin is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Lewis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lewis tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Devlin closes the distance and walks Lewis down, trapping him on the ropes.  Lewis EXPLODES a FEARSOME left uppercut into his opponents face.  DEVLIN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Lewis pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Devlin steps inside.  Lewis sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a solid left uppercut into Devlin's liver.  
Devlin gets on the inside.  Lewis lands a right hook.  
Lewis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Devlin closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Devlin throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lewis is looking to keep his distance and hits home with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Devlin's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Devlin's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Devlin gets on the inside.  Lewis is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Lewis lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two straights followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Lewis!
