Rob Blackard vs Noel McAskill

Boxing Daily Report from the HBLUE Promotions promoted show at The Queens Club, London,  taking place on 22/08/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rob Blackard (8(3) - 0) who hails from Swansea, UK and Noel McAskill(14 - 4 - 1) from Doncaster, UK.  Blackard weighed in at 159 pounds and 7 ounces, while McAskill weighed in at 160 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Mein, and the three ringside judges are Eric McDermott, Brendan Beddoe and Sam Connolly.  

Round 1: 

Blackard hits home with a sharp cross.  
Blackard sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McAskill digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Blackard steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Blackard lands a left hook, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Blackard steps inside and slams a spiteful left uppercut into his opponents body.  MCASKILL HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
McAskill hits home with a right hook.  
McAskill throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Blackard lands a cross, left hook and a jab to his opponents head.  
Blackard advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Blackard lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McAskill throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Blackard manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Blackard lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Blackard attempts to land a cross, but McAskill slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Blackard throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Blackard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blackard throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McAskill tries to land a right uppercut, but Blackard dodges the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Blackard steps inside and is on target with a left hook to McAskill's liver.

Blackard is looking to close the distance and hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
McAskill steps to the outside.  Blackard hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Blackard lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Blackard drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McAskill dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Blackard lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Blackard cuts off the ring, trapping McAskill in the corner.  Blackard lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Blackard SLAMS a VICIOUS cross into his opponents face.  MCASKILL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McAskill recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
McAskill tries to land a jab, but Blackard slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Blackard sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McAskill lands a cross to Blackard's body.  
McAskill throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
McAskill drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
McAskill drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Blackard is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
McAskill steps away from his opponent.  Blackard lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Blackard throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Blackard senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Blackard lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING MCASKILL DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like McAskill has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

McAskill tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a HUGE cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCASKILL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McAskill now seems to have his senses back.  
Blackard steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Blackard senses McAskill is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Blackard lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS MCASKILL TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like McAskill has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
McAskill finds the target with a stinging jab.

Blackard lands a weighty cross.  MCASKILL IS HURT!  Blackard tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Blackard senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop McAskill and just needs the right shot.  Blackard is on target with a hurtful left hook.  MCASKILL IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Blackard attempts to land a cross, but McAskill slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  McAskill now seems to have got his legs back.

McAskill tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a WICKED right hook.  MCASKILL HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE ISNT GOING TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Blackard!
