David Neale vs Sanjeev Batra

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Carrara Indoor Sports Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 19/08/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Asia-Oceania Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David The Real Deal Neale (34(29) - 4(2)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Sanjeev Batra(36(6) - 12(10) - 2) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Both Neale and Batra weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Taggert, and the three ringside judges are Tobias Bruce, Charlie Cacciari and Ian Rabb.  

Round 1: 

Neale lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batra manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Batra lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Neale steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents body.  Neale attempts to land a jab, but Batra dodges the shot and counters with a left hook to Neale's body.  
Batra gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Neale's body.  Batra throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Batra advances into close range.  Neale lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Batra recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Neale switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Batra is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Neale steps to the outside.  Neale quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Batra advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Neale lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Neale digs in a left uppercut to Batra's liver.  Neale throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Neale is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Batra sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Neale lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Neale stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Neale connects with a FEARSOME left hook.  BATRA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Batra now seems to have got his legs back.

Neale steps away from his opponent.  Batra throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.

Batra closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  Batra throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Neale steps away from his opponent.  Batra connects with a cross.

Neale lands with a solid jab.  Neale attempts to land a jab, but Batra blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Neale lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Batra advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Neale on the ropes.  Batra throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Neale is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Neale quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Batra almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Batra advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Neale switches the action to the outside.  Batra throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  BATRA IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Neale lands an overhand right.  
Neale lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Batra closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Neale tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.
