Joaquin Licona vs Federico Tovar

Boxing Daily Report from the Leon de Juda promoted show at Montevideo Pavon, Montevideo,  taking place on 14/06/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uruguay Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Licona (20 - 18(4)) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Federico Tovar(52(20) - 18(6) - 1) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Licona and Tovar weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Polino, and the three ringside judges are Pablo Mesquita, Ivan Barco and Yago Montejo.  

Round 1: 

Tovar lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Licona connects with a left hook.  Tovar clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Tovar pushes his forearm into Licona's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tovar.

Tovar closes the distance.  As Licona tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tovar dabs at his face checking for damage.  Tovar has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
