Amer Yacine vs Majid Gharbi

Boxing Daily Report from the Labi Promotions promoted show at Algiers Madyan, Algiers,  taking place on 15/06/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Algeria Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal Algérie, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Yacine (18 - 13(3) - 2) who hails from Algiers, Algeria and Majid Gharbi(24(18) - 15(9)) from Oran, Algeria.  Yacine weighed in at 108 pounds, while Gharbi weighed in at 107 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Amer Marouane, and the three ringside judges are Ahmed Khenniche, Majid Laouzai and Haider Serrar.  

Round 1: 

Yacine is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Gharbi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Yacine pushes his forearm into Gharbi's face.  The ref breaks Gharbi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Yacine switches the action to the outside.  Yacine feints a right hook, and then connects with an overhand left.  
Yacine attempts to land a jab, but Gharbi slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gharbi steps inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Gharbi lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Gharbi lands a hard jab.  
Yacine lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gharbi steps inside.  Gharbi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gharbi wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Yacine dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Yacine steps to the outside and lands a cross.  Yacine tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Yacine connects with a cross.  
Gharbi tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Yacine slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gharbi lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Gharbi ties up his opponent.  Gharbi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Gharbi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Yacine is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Yacine is on target with a cross.  
Gharbi pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Gharbi attempts to land a cross, but Yacine sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Gharbi lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gharbi lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gharbi pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Gharbi lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Gharbi thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Yacine away.  Gharbi lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook, left uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS YACINE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  Yacine now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Gharbi is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Yacine switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Gharbi slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Yacine's body.  
Gharbi tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gharbi forces Yacine to back into the corner.  Gharbi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gharbi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Gharbi tries to keep the action at long range.  Yacine lands a jab.

Gharbi closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gharbi is looking to close the distance.  Yacine pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gharbi hits home with a stinging left hook.  Gharbi clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Gharbi pushes his forearm into Yacine's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gharbi to stop fouling.  
Gharbi lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gharbi steps away from his opponent and connects with a nasty cross.  YACINE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Yacine almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gharbi is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Gharbi lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS YACINE!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Gharbi!
