Amer Safi vs Farhan Iqbal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UAE-Abu Dhabi promoted show at Abu Dhabi Ababneh, Abu Dhabi,  taking place on 29/04/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the UAE Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Abu Dhabi Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Safi (16(8) - 4(2) - 2) who hails from Abu Dhabi, UAE and Farhan Iqbal(11 - 3) from Dubai, UAE.  Safi weighed in at 153 pounds and 15 ounces, while Iqbal weighed in at 153 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zain Bey, and the three ringside judges are Atif Jameel, Majid Alshehhi and Atif Jameel.

Safi advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.

Safi steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Iqbal's body.

Safi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Iqbal quickly recovers.

Safi steps inside.  Iqbal pivots from in front of his opponent.  Iqbal throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Safi is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Safi forces Iqbal to retreat into the corner.  Safi pivots to the side of his opponent.  Iqbal throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a spiteful right hook.  IQBAL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Iqbal almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Safi lands a jab to Iqbal's body.  
Safi connects with a stinging cross.  
Iqbal gets on the inside and forces Safi to back into the ropes.  Safi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Iqbal drives a stinging right hook into Safi's body.  
Safi pivots to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Safi lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Safi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Iqbal throws a right uppercut, but Safi clinches his opponent.  Safi leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Safi pushes his forearm into Iqbal's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Iqbal's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Safi is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Safi lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body, AND KNOCKS IQBAL DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Iqbal now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Safi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Safi closes the distance.  Safi pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head, AND DROPS IQBAL TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Safi!
