Gabriel Balles vs Ryo Cerro

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Mexico State promoted show at Gimnasio en Ecatepec de Morelos, Ecatepec,  taking place on 03/04/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Mexico State Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gabriel Balles (37(23) - 8(2) - 1) who hails from Chimalhuacan, Mexico and Ryo Cerro(13 - 11(1) - 3) from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico.  Balles weighed in at 126 pounds, while Cerro weighed in at 126 pounds And 8 ounces.    As Cerro came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Dario Montes, and the three ringside judges are Jose Montana, Sierra Zorrilla and Juan Zambrano.  

Round 1: 

Balles advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Balles clinches his opponent.  Balles leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Balles's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Balles steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Balles ties up his opponent.  Balles is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Balles to stop fouling.  
Balles lands with a hard jab.  
Cerro lands a right hook.  
Balles closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Balles ties up his opponent.  Balles uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Cerro behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Balles.  
Balles pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body, KNOCKING CERRO DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Balles is looking to close the distance.  Balles pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Cerro throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Balles is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Balles advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Balles closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND DROPS CERRO!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Balles clinches his opponent.  Balles leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Balles steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND KNOCKS CERRO DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Balles finds the target with a jab.  
Balles lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Balles cuts off the ring, trapping Cerro in the corner.  Balles is on target with a weighty right uppercut to Cerro's body.  DOWN GOES CERRO!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Balles is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cerro's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Cerro's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Cerro's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Cerro's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Balles advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  Balles clinches his opponent.  Balles uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Cerro behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Balles.  
Balles connects with a stinging cross.  
Balles gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Balles holds on to his opponent.  Balles is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  Cerro recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Balles feints a jab, fooling Cerro into launching a cross counter.  Balles is waiting for the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Balles lands a cross.  
Balles lands with a solid jab.  
Balles lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Balles ties up his opponent.  Balles is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Balles's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Balles closes the distance.  Balles pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Balles lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Balles holds on to his opponent.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Balles to stop holding.  
Balles quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Balles walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Balles hits home with a left uppercut.  Balles holds on to his opponent.  Balles leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Cerro pivots to the side of his opponent.  Balles lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Balles forces Cerro to retreat into a corner.  Cerro attempts to land a jab, but Balles sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Balles closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Balles lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Balles lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Balles hits home with a powerful right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE CERRO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Balles clinches his opponent.  Balles is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Balles to stop holding.  Cerro almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Balles is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING CERRO DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Balles lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Balles knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Balles lands a left uppercut, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS CERRO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Cerro now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
