Joey Saam vs Vicente Lua

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 09/05/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Big Bam Saam (75(69) - 2(1)) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Vicente Lua(30(5) - 19(16)) from Duran, Ecuador.  Both Saam and Lua weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Green, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Salido, Bart Craw and Billy Gracie.  

Round 1: 

Saam advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Lua steps to the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Lua is on target with a left hook.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam pushes his forearm into Lua's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Saam.  
Saam steps inside and drives a left hook into Lua's liver.  
Saam lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Saam wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lua dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Saam lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lua pivots to the right of his opponent.  Saam digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Saam holds on to his opponent.  Saam tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lua behind the head. Saam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Saam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lua steps to the outside and hits home with a spiteful jab.  Lua tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lua lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Saam advances into close range.  Lua hits home with a right hook.  
Lua is on target with a cross.  
Saam closes the distance.  Lua throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Saam's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Lua is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
Saam is looking to close the distance.  Lua throws a left hook, but Saam holds on to his opponent.  Lua pushes his forearm into Saam's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lua.

Lua is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lua quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lua lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Lua attempts to land a jab, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Saam closes the distance and digs in a firm left uppercut to Lua's body.

Saam contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Lua tries to land a cross, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a weighty right hook.  LUA IS HURT!  
Saam steps inside.  The right shot from Saam could be enough to force the stoppage!  Saam lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS LUA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Lua has now recovered from that shot earlier.
