Henry Simiyu vs Faraji Pragassa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kisumu promoted show at Ibrahim Arafat Gym, Kisumu,  taking place on 28/12/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kisumu Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Henry Simiyu (4 - 8 - 3) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Faraji Pragassa(4 - 12 - 2) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Simiyu weighed in at 236 pounds and 10 ounces, while Pragassa weighed in at 216 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Lavatsa, and the three ringside judges are David Macgoye, Kendis Rimbui and Paul Babla.  

Round 1: 

Simiyu finds the target with a jab.  
Pragassa attempts to land an overhand left, but Simiyu slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pragassa gets on the inside.  As Simiyu tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pragassa dabs at his face checking for damage.

Pragassa is looking to close the distance.  Simiyu is on target with a left hook to Pragassa's liver.  
Pragassa closes the distance and forces Simiyu to back into the corner.  Pragassa throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Simiyu time to recover.
