Vashon Magqwaka vs Paulo Zulu

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Johannesburg Stadium, Johannesburg,  taking place on 04/01/2043:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vashon The Mad Duck Magqwaka (45(31) - 27(8)) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Paulo Zulu(15(5) - 2) from East London, South Africa.  Both Magqwaka and Zulu weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Snyman, and the three ringside judges are Peter Oosthuizen, Michael Grobbelaar and Gift Manyisa.  

Round 1: 

Zulu lands a solid right hook.  
Zulu is looking to keep his distance and connects with a sharp cross.  
Magqwaka lands a jab.  
Zulu steps to the outside and lands a solid jab.  
Magqwaka closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Magqwaka lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Magqwaka lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Magqwaka goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Zulu to the neutral corner.  He warns Magqwaka that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.  
Zulu is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Magqwaka is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Zulu tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Magqwaka throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Magqwaka's body.  
Magqwaka gets on the inside and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Magqwaka hits the target with a solid jab.  
Magqwaka gets on the inside.  Zulu throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Magqwaka ties up his opponent.  Zulu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Magqwaka's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Magqwaka lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Magqwaka gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Zulu tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a stiff jab.  
Magqwaka is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Magqwaka gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Magqwaka connects with a solid right hook.  
Magqwaka attempts to land a jab, but Zulu sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Magqwaka feints a right hook, and then is on target with a firm cross.  
Magqwaka hits home with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Magqwaka dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Magqwaka's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Zulu's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Round 2: 

Magqwaka pivots to the right of his opponent.  Zulu throws a right uppercut, but Magqwaka clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Magqwaka pushes his forearm into Zulu's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magqwaka to stop fouling.  
Zulu throws a left uppercut, but Magqwaka clinches his opponent.  Magqwaka leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magqwaka throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Magqwaka's ribcage.  
Zulu lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Zulu pivots to the right of his opponent and hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Magqwaka stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Zulu lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Zulu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Magqwaka lands a stinging cross.  
Magqwaka steps inside.  Zulu lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Magqwaka lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Zulu almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Magqwaka pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Magqwaka lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Magqwaka drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Magqwaka lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Magqwaka drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Magqwaka lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Zulu tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Round 3: 

Magqwaka lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Magqwaka holds on to his opponent.  Zulu uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Magqwaka behind the head. The referee warns Zulu and breaks the clinch.  
Magqwaka hits home with a stinging cross.  
Magqwaka gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Magqwaka lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Magqwaka stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Magqwaka lands a WICKED right uppercut.  ZULU IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Zulu now seems to have got his legs back.

Zulu feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Zulu's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Zulu pivots to the left of his opponent.  Magqwaka throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Magqwaka holds on to his opponent.  Magqwaka is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Magqwaka.  
Magqwaka hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Zulu throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a big left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ZULU WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Zulu recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
