Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Quebec promoted show at Maison de la culture, Gaineau,  taking place on 21/10/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Denton Begg (25(22) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Ricky Roach(11 - 19(3) - 1) from Halifax, Canada.  Begg weighed in at 126 pounds, while Roach weighed in at 125 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Prewitt Gedeon, and the three ringside judges are Gower Paille, Johnny Smith and Briant Sarraute.  

Round 1: 

Begg advances into close range.  Begg sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Roach throws a right hook, but Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Begg about fouling.  
Roach throws a right uppercut, but Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Begg closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. Begg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Begg's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Begg lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Begg lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Roach almost instantly gets his legs back.

Roach steps to the outside.  Begg connects with an overhand right.  
Begg is on target with a firm left uppercut to Roach's liver.  
Begg steps inside and is on target with a potent right uppercut to Roach's body.  DOWN GOES ROACH!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Roach tries to keep the action at long range.  Begg lands a straight 1 - 2.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Roach almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Begg feints a cross, and then attempts to land a cross, but Roach sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Begg gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Begg knows Roach is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Begg connects with a HUGE left hook.  ROACH HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Roach now seems to have got his legs back.  
Begg slams a spiteful right hook into Roach's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE ROACH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Roach recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Begg lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Begg lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Begg drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Begg lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Roach quickly recovers. 
Begg gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Begg DETONATES a hurtful left hook on his opponents face.  ROACH IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Begg manouvers Roach into the corner.  Begg lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Begg lands a firm right uppercut.  Begg holds on to his opponent.  Begg is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Begg's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Begg lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Roach tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Begg is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Roach's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Roach's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Roach throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Begg's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Begg pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Begg lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS ROACH TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Begg!
