Peter Reuben vs Phil Steel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Queensland promoted show at Malcolm Duffy Gym, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 16/09/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Reuben (9 - 12(2) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Phil Steel(8 - 4) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Reuben and Steel weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Forbes, and the three ringside judges are Mark Taggert, Glynn Profit and Neil McAllaster.  

Round 1: 

Reuben lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Reuben is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Steel advances into close range.  Steel pivots to the left of his opponent.  Steel throws a left uppercut, but Reuben ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Reuben's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Steel pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Reuben feints a left, and then is on target with a cross.  
Steel throws a right hook, but Reuben clinches his opponent.  Steel pushes his forearm into Reuben's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Reuben closes the distance.  Steel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Steel connects with a left hook.  Reuben clinches his opponent.  Steel leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Steel uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Reuben behind the head. 
Reuben is looking to close the distance.  Steel pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Reuben's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Steel.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
