James Covarrubias vs Alejandro Cornelio

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 12/06/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Covarrubias (6(6) - 2 - 1) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and Alejandro Cornelio(28 - 10(3) - 1) from Taytay, Philippines.  Covarrubias weighed in at 104 pounds And 7 ounces, while Cornelio weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adam McCorquodale, and the three ringside judges are Adam Blair, David MacInnes and Alan Donovan.  

Round 1: 

Covarrubias throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cornelio switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Covarrubias tries to land a cross, but Cornelio sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Cornelio pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cornelio dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Covarrubias closes the distance and drives a left hook into Cornelio's body.
