Brin Bongiorno vs Stuart Salina

Boxing Daily Report from the Southpaw Promotions promoted show at Providence Jara, Providence,  taking place on 06/06/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Rhode Island Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brin Bongiorno (10 - 9(3) - 6) who hails from Providence, USA and Stuart Salina(15(10) - 11(4) - 1) from Providence, USA.  Both Bongiorno and Salina weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Montoya, and the three ringside judges are Declan Hernandez, Malcolm Littlejohn and Cole Levingston.  

Round 1: 

Salina gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Salina ties up his opponent.  Bongiorno uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Salina behind the head. As they grapple, Salina pushes his forearm into Bongiorno's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Salina about fouling.  
Salina pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Salina advances into close range.  Bongiorno sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Salina lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Salina gets on the inside.  Salina sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Salina drives a left hook into Bongiorno's body.  Salina holds on to his opponent.  Bongiorno is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Salina lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Salina pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Salina drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Salina is looking to close the distance and forces Bongiorno to back into the ropes.  Salina pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bongiorno steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Salina slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Bongiorno tries to land a cross, but Salina sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Salina drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Salina pivots to the right of his opponent.  Salina lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Salina ties up his opponent.  Salina throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Bongiorno leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Salina walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Salina pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Salina pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Salina pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Bongiorno switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Salina closes the distance.  Salina pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid left hook.  
Salina hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Salina lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Salina ties up his opponent.  Bongiorno throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Bongiorno and breaks the clinch.  
Salina drives a firm right hook into Bongiorno's body.  
Salina steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Bongiorno tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Salina blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bongiorno's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Bongiorno's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Salina pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Bongiorno gets on the inside.  Salina pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Bongiorno tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land an overhand left, but Salina blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Salina is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Salina sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Salina gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Salina holds on to his opponent.  Salina is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Salina's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Salina manouvers Bongiorno into a neutral corner.  Salina sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Bongiorno's ribcage.  
Salina closes the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Bongiorno's body.  
Salina lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bongiorno closes the distance.  Salina sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Salina lands a stinging left uppercut.  
Salina is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Salina advances into close range.  Salina sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Bongiorno's body.  
Salina cuts off the ring, trapping Bongiorno in a corner.  Salina lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!

Salina senses Bongiorno is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Salina digs in a forceful right hook to Bongiorno's body.  BONGIORNO IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Bongiorno has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Salina lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Salina drives a sharp right hook into Bongiorno's ribs.  
Salina throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Salina clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Bongiorno pushes his forearm into Salina's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bongiorno.  
Salina steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Salina steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Salina SLAMS a CRUSHING left uppercut into his opponents face.  BONGIORNO IS HURT!  
Salina pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING BONGIORNO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Salina lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body, AND BONGIORNO IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Bongiorno now seems to have his senses back.

Salina stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Salina EXPLODES a MASSIVE left uppercut into his opponents face.  BONGIORNO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Salina!
