Akhil Gupta vs Akil Kanda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Tamil Nadu promoted show at Chennai Parmer, Chennai,  taking place on 30/05/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India-Tamil Nadu Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akhil Gupta (23(12) - 7(5) - 1) who hails from Chennai, India and Akil Kanda(4 - 5(1) - 1) from Chennai, India.  Both Gupta and Kanda weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Dia, and the three ringside judges are Madhav Kamdar, Aftab Dia and Randeep Sharma.  

Round 1:

Gupta lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS KANDA DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Kanda quickly recovers.

He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND KANDA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Kanda now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gupta dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gupta has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Gupta lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Kanda quickly recovers.
