Jay Boakye vs Nathan De Jongh

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Bellville Stadium, Cape Town,  taking place on 24/05/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jay Boakye (8(7) - 0 - 1) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Nathan De Jongh(2 - 0) from Soweto, South Africa.  Boakye weighed in at 108 pounds, while De Jongh weighed in at 107 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Luvolwethu Nyatama, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Nyatama, Xhosas Serero and Bongi Rantie.  

Round 1: 

Boakye lands a jab.

Boakye is on target with a solid left uppercut.  Boakye attempts to land a right hook, but De Jongh sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Boakye manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Boakye lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  De Jongh recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Boakye lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

De Jongh is on target with a right hook to Boakye's body.  De Jongh attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Boakye's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
De Jongh pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Boakye manages to force De Jongh into the red corner.  De Jongh throws a left hook, but Boakye holds on to his opponent.  De Jongh uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Boakye's kidney. The ref breaks Boakye's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Boakye lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  De Jongh almost instantly gets his legs back.

De Jongh throws a left hook, but Boakye ties up his opponent.  Boakye leans on his opponent using all his weight. Boakye tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits De Jongh's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Boakye to stop fouling.  
De Jongh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
De Jongh lands a stiff jab.  
De Jongh attempts to land a jab, but Boakye dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Boakye walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Boakye lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Boakye SLAMS a FIERCE right hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DE JONGH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  De Jongh recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
De Jongh drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Boakye closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
It looks like De Jongh has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
