David Whittet vs Cole Bowie

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Cowles Stadium, Christchurch,  taking place on 16/05/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Whittet (6 - 2) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Cole Bowie(12 - 4(1) - 3) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Whittet weighed in at 175 pounds, while Bowie weighed in at 176 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gareth Young, and the three ringside judges are Clint Cattell, Tobias Vert and Mike Muncie.  

Round 1: 

Whittet lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Whittet clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Whittet pushes his forearm into Bowie's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Whittet.  
Whittet lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bowie tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bowie is on target with a cross.  
Whittet is looking to close the distance.  Whittet sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Whittet gets on the inside.  Whittet sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Whittet lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Whittet clinches his opponent.  Whittet tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bowie behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Whittet to stop fouling.  
Whittet closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS BOWIE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Bowie quickly recovers. 
Whittet lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Whittet lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Whittet holds on to his opponent.  Whittet is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Whittet's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Whittet manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Whittet drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Whittet sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into Bowie's body.  
Whittet walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Whittet lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  As Whittet tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bowie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Whittet lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Whittet advances into close range and drives a stinging right hook into Bowie's body.  
Whittet is on target with a left hook to Bowie's body.  Whittet clinches his opponent.  Whittet uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bowie behind the head. 
Whittet lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whittet digs in a left hook to Bowie's liver.  
Whittet is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Bowie's ribs.  
Whittet advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Whittet ties up his opponent.  Whittet leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whittet drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bowie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Whittet lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Whittet clinches his opponent.  Whittet leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Whittet manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Whittet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whittet gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Whittet lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Bowie attempts to land a cross, but Whittet slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Whittet lands a left hook to the body, a jab to the head and a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bowie almost instantly recovers. 
Whittet steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Whittet closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Whittet gets on the inside and digs in a firm left uppercut to Bowie's ribs.  
Whittet forces Bowie to back into a neutral corner.  Whittet feints a jab, tricking Bowie into launching a cross counter.  Whittet springs the trap, countering with  a stinging right hook.  
Whittet closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Whittet digs in a stinging left uppercut to Bowie's ribs.  
Whittet slams a nasty left uppercut into Bowie's body.  BOWIE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bowie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Whittet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a powerful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BOWIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Bowie quickly recovers. 
Whittet digs in a left uppercut to Bowie's body.  
Whittet drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Whittet is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Whittet digs in a left hook to Bowie's ribs.  
Whittet is looking to close the distance and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Whittet digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Bowie wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Whittet.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Whittet is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Whittet pushes his forearm into Bowie's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Whittet is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Whittet lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head, KNOCKING BOWIE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Whittet connects with a big left uppercut.  BOWIE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Whittet!
