Salim Labi vs Paco Pastrano

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, Las Vegas,  taking place on 17/05/2042:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Salim Labi (5(4) - 0) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Paco Pastrano(29 - 17 - 1) from Madrid, Spain.  Both Labi and Pastrano weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vincent Ovens, and the three ringside judges are Dale Cloyd, Darryl Draffen and Brad Primrose.  

Round 1: 

Labi steps inside.  Labi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Pastrano quickly recovers. 
Pastrano tries to keep the action at long range.  Labi feints a right, and then lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand right to the head.  
Labi steps inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Labi ties up his opponent.  Labi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pastrano is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Labi lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Labi is looking to close the distance.  Labi backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Pastrano tries to tag Labi on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Labi is on target with a firm left hook.  
Pastrano pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pastrano tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Labi is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  Labi holds on to his opponent.  Labi uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pastrano behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Labi about fouling.  
Labi closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  Labi ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Labi pushes his forearm into Pastrano's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Labi lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Pastrano lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Labi hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Labi closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pastrano feints a jab, but Labi does not fall for it and responds with a firm cross.  
Labi gets on the inside and lands a solid left uppercut.  
Labi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Labi steps inside and whips in a hurtful left uppercut to his opponents body.  PASTRANO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Pastrano almost instantly recovers. 
Labi lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Pastrano almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pastrano tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Labi gets on the inside and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  
Labi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Pastrano is on target with a left hook.  
Labi is on target with a left uppercut to Pastrano's body.  Labi throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Labi gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pastrano steps to the outside.  Labi lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pastrano's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Pastrano's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Labi lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Labi connects with a solid cross.  
Labi steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Labi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Labi is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Labi holds on to his opponent.  Labi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Labi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Labi connects with a VICIOUS left hook.  PASTRANO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Pastrano almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Labi steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Labi closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DOWN GOES PASTRANO!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Labi connects with a sharp right hook.  
Labi digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Labi steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Labi connects with a sharp right uppercut.  Labi clinches his opponent.  Labi hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Labi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Labi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Pastrano sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Labi is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pastrano pivots to the side of his opponent.  Labi lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pastrano tries to step out of his opponents range.  Labi lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pastrano pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Labi is looking to close the distance and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Labi lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Pastrano quickly recovers.

Labi throws a right uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Labi holds on to his opponent.  Labi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Labi to stop holding.  
Labi lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Pastrano switches the action to the outside.  Pastrano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Labi lands a spiteful overhand right.  PASTRANO IS HURT!  Pastrano almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Labi closes the distance and lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Labi EXPLODES a VICIOUS left hook into his opponents face.  PASTRANO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Labi!
