James Banks vs Duncan McCort

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 01/06/2042:

Clearly Plunder Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Banks (22(7) - 13(1) - 4) who hails from Dundee, UK and Duncan McCort(8 - 11 - 1) from Dundee, UK.  Both Banks and McCort weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hamish McBeth, and the three ringside judges are Peter Cullen, Angus Greenaway and John McVicker.  

Round 1: 

Banks lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Banks.  
Banks is looking to close the distance.  McCort throws a left hook, but Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Banks pushes his forearm into McCort's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Banks to stop fouling.  
McCort switches the action to the outside.  Banks lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
McCort is on target with a jab.  
Banks is looking to close the distance.  McCort sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Banks is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Banks steps inside and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to McCort's body.  Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent using all his weight. Banks tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCort's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Banks closes the distance and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Banks closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Banks lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McCort behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Banks lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Banks is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Banks walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Banks digs in a left uppercut to McCort's body.  
Banks lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Banks quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Banks lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Banks ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Banks lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Banks lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Banks senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop McCort and just needs the right shot.  Banks lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND MCCORT IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like McCort has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McCort's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Banks whips in a nasty right uppercut to McCort's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCCORT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on McCort's kidney. McCort recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Banks hits home with a firm left hook.  
Banks lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

McCort tries to keep the action at long range.  Banks is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Banks lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MCCORT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but McCort cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Banks!
