Neil Meikle vs Sean Clery

Boxing Daily Report from the GOAT Promotions promoted show at Glitterdome, Denver,  taking place on 02/05/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Mountain West Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neil Meikle (37(13) - 21(4) - 1) who hails from Greeley, USA and Sean Clery(16 - 9(1) - 3) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Meikle weighed in at 160 pounds, while Clery weighed in at 159 pounds And 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Brad Spaulding, and the three ringside judges are Mark Crabb, Mark Polson and Wayne Bardsley.  

Round 1: 

Meikle steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Meikle holds on to his opponent.  Meikle is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Clery connects with a right uppercut.

Clery throws a left uppercut, but Meikle ties up his opponent.  Meikle leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Meikle digs in a left uppercut to Clery's ribs.  
Meikle connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Meikle manages to force Clery onto the ropes.  Meikle lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Meikle lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Meikle is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  Meikle holds on to his opponent.  Meikle hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Meikle is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Meikle lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS CLERY TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.
