Nicandro Nieblas vs Jax Cosme

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Estadio Nacional de F+�tbol Pedro Marrero, Havana,  taking place on 28/06/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nicandro Nieblas (31(5) - 3) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Jax Cosme(20(5) - 7(2)) from Camaguey, Cuba.  Both Nieblas and Cosme weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Agapetus Triana, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Olguin, Montel Albarran and Diego Marcia.  

Round 1: 

Nieblas stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Cosme is on target with an overhand left.  
Nieblas lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cosme steps inside.  Nieblas pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Cosme closes the distance and forces Nieblas to retreat onto the ropes.  Cosme sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Nieblas digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Nieblas holds on to his opponent.  Cosme uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Nieblas's kidney.

Nieblas switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Cosme sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cosme closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Nieblas clinches his opponent.  Nieblas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Nieblas is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Nieblas feints a jab, tricking Cosme into launching a left hook counter.  Nieblas springs the trap, countering with  a right uppercut.  
Cosme advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nieblas dabs at his face checking for damage.

He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS COSME SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Nieblas!
