Giuseppe Bresso vs Vicente Nery

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 05/07/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Giuseppe Pie Bresso (5(3) - 2 - 2) who hails from Naples, Italy and Vicente Nery(37 - 22(13) - 1) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Bresso weighed in at 111 pounds and 10 ounces, while Nery weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gethin Jasmin, and the three ringside judges are Robert Christopher, Dave Carrasco and Mason Coldwell.  

Round 1: 

Bresso is looking to close the distance.  Nery pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nery is on target with a left hook.  Nery tries to land a right hook, but Bresso blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Bresso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bresso is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Nery parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Bresso's ribs.  
Bresso steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bresso gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Nery's ribs.  Bresso tries to land a left uppercut, but Nery blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bresso lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bresso attempts to land a left hook, but Nery blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  Nery quickly recovers. 
Nery hits home with a right uppercut.  
Bresso digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Bresso tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bresso digs in a right uppercut to Nery's body.  Bresso attempts to land a jab, but Nery sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Bresso gets on the inside.  Bresso pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Bresso lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Bresso lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Bresso throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  Nery almost instantly recovers.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nery's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Nery's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Bresso digs in a solid right hook to Nery's ribcage.  Bresso tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Bresso's body.  
Nery switches the action to the outside.  Bresso finds the target with a jab.  
Bresso advances into close range and slams a mean left hook into Nery's body.  NERY IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Bresso gets on the inside.  Nery pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Bresso advances into close range.  Bresso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid left uppercut to Nery's body.  
Nery tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Bresso walks Nery down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bresso is on target with a potent right hook to his opponents body.  NERY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Bresso sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Bresso lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS NERY TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Bresso is looking to close the distance.  Bresso sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Bresso lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND KNOCKS NERY DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  Nery now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Nery walks Bresso into the blue corner.  Bresso drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Nery switches the action to the outside.  Nery stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Bresso throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.
