Fabrizio Fisichella vs Lorenzo Neri

Boxing Daily Report from the Maxi's Bruts promoted show at Campo Roma, Rome,  taking place on 16/04/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Italy Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Italia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fabrizio The Fish Seller Fisichella (38(35) - 6(4)) who hails from Venice, Italy and Lorenzo Neri(23 - 10(1) - 4) from Rome, Italy.  Fisichella weighed in at 122 pounds, while Neri weighed in at 121 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Valerio Giovanelli, and the three ringside judges are Fillipo Rositani, Luca Finocchiaro and Carlo Cocca.  

Round 1: 

Fisichella advances into close range and is on target with a stinging left hook to Neri's liver.  
Neri connects with a cross.  
Fisichella closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Fisichella holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Fisichella pushes his forearm into Neri's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fisichella drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Fisichella ties up his opponent.  Fisichella pushes his forearm into Neri's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fisichella walks Neri down, trapping him in the red corner.  Neri throws a right uppercut, but Fisichella ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Fisichella pushes his forearm into Neri's face.  The referee warns Fisichella and breaks the clinch.  
Neri connects with a left hook.  
Fisichella steps inside.  As Neri tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fisichella dabs at his face checking for damage.  Fisichella has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Fisichella steps inside and slams a spiteful right hook into his opponents body.  NERI IS HURT!  Neri quickly recovers. 
Neri pivots from in front of his opponent.  Neri throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Fisichella connects with a right hook.  
Fisichella closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Fisichella lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Fisichella holds on to his opponent.  Fisichella leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Fisichella steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Fisichella is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Fisichella is looking to close the distance and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Fisichella lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Fisichella cuts off the ring, trapping Neri in the blue corner.  Neri tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Neri's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Neri's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Neri throws a right uppercut, but Fisichella holds on to his opponent.  Fisichella is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fisichella lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Fisichella holds on to his opponent.  Fisichella leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Fisichella lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Fisichella is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Fisichella lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING NERI TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Neri now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Fisichella gets on the inside and connects with a SAVAGE left uppercut.  NERI IS HURT!  Neri almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Fisichella forces Neri to retreat onto the ropes.  Fisichella lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Fisichella forces Neri to retreat into the corner.  Fisichella lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Neri quickly recovers. 
Fisichella throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Fisichella clinches his opponent.  Fisichella leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fisichella manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Fisichella lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Neri almost instantly recovers. 
Neri is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Fisichella closes the distance and connects with a MASSIVE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE NERI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Fisichella senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Fisichella lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES NERI!  The count reaches 10, but Neri is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Fisichella!
