Angel Malagon vs Robert Mellish

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 28/06/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Destroying Angel Malagon (40(34) - 1) who hails from Coral Springs, USA and Robert Mellish(24 - 15(10)) from Boulder, USA.  Both Malagon and Mellish weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Salmond, and the three ringside judges are Kieran Smail, Mike Amores and Ian Pitcairn.  

Round 1: 

Malagon lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mellish recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mellish feints a jab, tricking Malagon into throwing a cross counter.  Mellish springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Mellish gets on the inside.  Malagon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Malagon drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Malagon steps away from his opponent.  Malagon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.

Malagon switches the action to the outside.  Mellish finds the target with a solid jab.  
Malagon strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Mellish steps inside and is on target with a left hook.

Mellish is looking to close the distance.  Malagon knows Mellish is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Malagon lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS MELLISH TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  It looks like Mellish has now recovered from that shot earlier.
