Xaverius Poma vs Ed Gorman

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 26/04/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Showtime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xaverius X Man Poma (22(13) - 1 - 1) who hails from Valencia, Venezuela and Ed Gorman(22(13) - 7(6)) from Aberdeen, UK.  Both Poma and Gorman weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oliver Craddock, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kelton, Bruce Carra and Sam Lowe.  

Round 1: 

Gorman lands with a spiteful jab.  
Poma lands with a ramrod jab.  
Gorman attempts to land a left uppercut, but Poma blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Poma lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Poma throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gorman switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Poma lands a ramrod jab.  
Gorman lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Poma lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Poma quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gorman throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEARSOME right uppercut.  GORMAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gorman recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Poma advances into close range and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Poma tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Poma drives a stinging left uppercut into Gorman's liver.  
Poma lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Poma pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gorman recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Poma lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Poma tries to land a cross, but Gorman dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gorman steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a FIERCE left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE GORMAN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Gorman quickly recovers. 
Gorman is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Poma gets on the inside and crashes a mean left uppercut to his opponents liver.  GORMAN IS HURT!  
Poma drives a powerful right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES GORMAN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Gorman now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Poma manages to force Gorman into the blue corner.  Poma lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gorman recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Poma gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gorman's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Gorman's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Gorman's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Poma steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gorman recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Gorman drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.  
Poma advances into close range.  Poma sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Gorman recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Gorman tries to land a left hook, but Poma dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gorman steps to the outside and lands with a hard jab.  
Poma advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Poma gets on the inside.  Poma sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Poma digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gorman connects with a cross.

Poma lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gorman almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Poma steps inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS GORMAN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
The right shot from Poma could be enough to force the stoppage!  Poma lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS GORMAN TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Gorman now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Poma lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS GORMAN DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Poma!
