Felix Wood vs Paul Malpass

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Thomas Robinson Stadium, Nassau,  taking place on 20/04/2042:

Clearly Hands Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Felix Chop Chop Wood (9(8) - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Paul Malpass(5 - 6) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Wood weighed in at 140 pounds, while Malpass weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Griffiths, and the three ringside judges are Rob David, Jack Blair and John Chisholm.  

Round 1: 

Malpass lands a jab.  
Wood gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.

Wood is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Malpass's body.

Wood lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Wood clinches his opponent.  Wood leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Wood pushes his forearm into Malpass's face.  The referee warns Wood and breaks the clinch.

Wood feints a left hook, but Malpass ignores the feint and responds with a right uppercut.

Wood cuts off the ring, trapping Malpass in the corner.  Wood quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Malpass tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Wood is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Wood clinches his opponent.  Wood leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Malpass lands a stinging jab.  Malpass throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Malpass is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Wood tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Wood sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Wood drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Malpass tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Wood closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Malpass almost instantly recovers.

Malpass switches the action to the outside.  Wood hits home with a sharp cross.  Wood attempts to land a cross, but Malpass slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wood steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
It looks like Malpass has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Wood hits home with a cross.  Wood attempts to land a cross, but Malpass blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wood is looking to close the distance.  Malpass digs in a left uppercut to Wood's body.

Wood steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Wood sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MALPASS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Malpass quickly recovers.
