Reinald Pigalle vs Leighton Platt

Boxing Daily Report from the Fistic Inc promoted show at Claude Robillard Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 21/03/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Reinald Pigalle (19(15) - 1) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Leighton Platt(58(25) - 9(5) - 1) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Pigalle and Platt weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Prewitt Gedeon, and the three ringside judges are Verrier Luna, Gerard Segalen and Mark Mostyn.  

Round 1: 

Platt steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pigalle hits home with a cross.  
Pigalle is on target with a stinging right uppercut.

Platt closes the distance and manages to force Pigalle onto the ropes.  Pigalle senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Platt and just needs the right shot.  Pigalle lands a right hook, cross and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS PLATT DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Platt now seems to have got his legs back.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Platt has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
