William Cruikshank vs Matt Paden

Boxing Daily Report from the John Wayne promoted show at James Isbister Gym, Evansville,  taking place on 06/03/2042:

Clearly John Wayne have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Indiana Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are William Cruikshank (4 - 2 - 4) who hails from Indianapolis, USA and Matt Paden(8 - 16(1) - 9) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Both Cruikshank and Paden weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Maffett, and the three ringside judges are Tobias Gowans, Callum Lockard and Joseph Sayer.  

Round 1: 

Cruikshank switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Paden switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Cruikshank parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cruikshank gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  
As Cruikshank tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Paden has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Paden steps away from his opponent.  Cruikshank hits home with an overhand left.  
Paden is on target with a jab.  
Paden manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Cruikshank tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Cruikshank drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Paden attempts to land a cross, but Cruikshank slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cruikshank's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Paden's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
