Naoki Izumi vs Nao Morita

Boxing Daily Report from the Paintsil Promotions promoted show at Kazuki Fujikawa Gym, Ichikawa,  taking place on 27/12/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Naoki Izumi (22 - 7 - 2) who hails from Funabashi, Japan and Nao Morita(8 - 14 - 4) from Kashiwa, Japan.  Both Izumi and Morita weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mikio Gima, and the three ringside judges are Michi Sakaguchi, Eiji Ozaki and Jiro Tobe.  

Round 1: 

Izumi is looking to close the distance.  Morita throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Morita is on target with a left hook.  
Izumi is looking to close the distance.  Morita pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Izumi has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
