Luyck Kruger vs Geert Van Vuuren

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Pretoria Letlabika, Pretoria,  taking place on 01/01/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luyck Kruger (9 - 15 - 7) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Geert Van Vuuren(4 - 14 - 3) from Johannesburg, South Africa.  Both Kruger and Van Vuuren weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Karabaja, and the three ringside judges are Quaddus Rascalimu, David Khumalo and Ndumisa Ntuli.  

Round 1: 

Kruger gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kruger dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Van Vuuren pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kruger lands a left hook.  
Van Vuuren throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Kruger time to recover.  
Kruger closes the distance and is on target with a left uppercut.
