Cuba Cruz vs Chris Stoddart

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Infinity Insurance Park, Miami,  taking place on 01/11/2039:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cuba Cruz (11(9) - 0) who hails from Arequipa, Peru and Chris Stoddart(2 - 1 - 2) from Columbus, USA.  Both Cruz and Stoddart weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cole Ghant, and the three ringside judges are Paul Corse, David Carias and Rob Crumb.  

Round 1: 

Stoddart hits home with a left hook.  
Cruz lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cruz lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cruz steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cruz lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Cruz finds the target with a jab.  
Cruz quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Stoddart advances into close range.  Cruz lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cruz lands with a hard jab.  
Cruz steps away from his opponent and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Cruz lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Stoddart advances into close range and manages to force Cruz onto the ropes.  Stoddart pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cruz drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Cruz tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cruz feints a left hook, and then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cruz feints a jab, and then is on target with a left uppercut to Stoddart's liver.  
Cruz pivots to the side of his opponent and hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Cruz switches the action to the outside.  Cruz circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Stoddart throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE STODDART WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Stoddart recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Stoddart advances into close range.  Cruz lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  Cruz ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Cruz pushes his forearm into Stoddart's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cruz.  
Stoddart lands a jab.  
Cruz quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cruz pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Stoddart's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Cruz tries to keep the action at long range and drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Cruz lands a jab.  
Stoddart advances into close range.  Cruz lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cruz lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cruz is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Cruz tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Cruz lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Stoddart tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Stoddart's ribcage.

Cruz tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Stoddart almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Stoddart steps inside.  Cruz lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Cruz steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Stoddart's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Stoddart's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Stoddart closes the distance.  Cruz lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cruz clinches his opponent.  Cruz is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Cruz's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

It looks like Stoddart has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Cruz feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Frustration is reaching boiling point for Stoddart now.    He throws a hook, and catches Cruz low!  The ref halts the action and sends Cruz to the neutral corner.    He tells Stoddart to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Cruz tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a solid overhand right.
