Haaris Maarouf vs Baldev Mallappa

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Taj Palace, New Delhi,  taking place on 07/10/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Haaris Maarouf (5(4) - 0) who hails from Dammam, Saudi Arabia and Baldev Mallappa(9 - 19(2) - 5) from Chennai, India.  Both Maarouf and Mallappa weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arjuna Chaudhry, and the three ringside judges are Malik Baten, Gautam Trivedi and Ganesa Molhu.  

Round 1: 

Maarouf tries to land a jab, but Mallappa sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Mallappa recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Mallappa is looking to close the distance.  Frustration is starting to boil over for Mallappa now.   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Mallappa to watch his head.  He gives Maarouf a few minutes to recover.  
Maarouf tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Mallappa could be stopped here, if Maarouf can find the right shot!  Maarouf lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MALLAPPA!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Maarouf!
