Neron Merida vs Venacio Galan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Tamaulipas promoted show at Vicente Delgadillo Gym, Ciudad Victoria,  taking place on 29/09/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Tamaulipas Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neron Merida (8 - 26(1) - 5) who hails from Matamoros, Mexico and Venacio Galan(9(2) - 1) from Reynosa, Mexico.  Merida weighed in at 125 pounds and 5 ounces, while Galan weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edmundo Tierno, and the three ringside judges are Agapetus Llorente, Carlos Armando and Isidro Morena.  

Round 1: 

Merida is looking to close the distance.  Galan digs in a left hook to Merida's body.  
Merida tries to keep the action at long range.  Galan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.

Galan manouvers Merida onto the ropes.  Galan is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Galan lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING MERIDA TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Merida now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Galan gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Merida steps away from his opponent.  Galan is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Galan whips in a hurtful right uppercut to Merida's ribcage.  DOWN GOES MERIDA!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Merida now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Galan gets on the inside.  Galan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Merida throws a right hook, but Galan clinches his opponent.  Galan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Galan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Galan is looking to close the distance.  Galan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Galan walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Galan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
