Ian Wan vs James Rodden

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 30/09/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Wan (9 - 11 - 4) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and James Rodden(5 - 3 - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Wan weighed in at 200 pounds And 11 ounces, while Rodden weighed in at 200 pounds.    As Wan came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Vert, and the three ringside judges are Noel Haxton, Ian Fergerson and Ian Dixon.  

Round 1: 

Wan closes the distance.  Wan wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rodden dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Rodden steps to the outside and lands a cross.

Wan closes the distance and manouvers Rodden into a corner.  Wan tries to land a right hook, but Rodden blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Wan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rodden connects with a right hook.  
Rodden pivots to the side of his opponent.  Wan attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Rodden time to recover.  
Wan lands a right uppercut.  
Wan gets on the inside.  Rodden is on target with a right hook.  
Wan hits home with a right hook.
