Ian Cherop vs Kieran Ngilu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Mannan, Nairobi,  taking place on 16/08/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian Cherop (4 - 12 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Kieran Ngilu(20(1) - 6(1)) from Kikuyu, Kenya.  Cherop weighed in at 108 pounds and 12 ounces, while Ngilu weighed in at 108 pounds.    As Cherop came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Brendan Gatheru, and the three ringside judges are Armani Kipchoim, Rob Birdi and Scott Merande.
