Edward Sorlie vs Steven Maere

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 06/08/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Edward Sorlie (21(4) - 1) who hails from Sunshine Coast, Australia and Steven Maere(11 - 21(3) - 6) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Sorlie and Maere weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Catanach, and the three ringside judges are Fraser McNabb, Bart Albert and Isaac Oliver.  

Round 1: 

Sorlie finds the target with a jab.

Maere steps inside and manouvers Sorlie onto the ropes.  Sorlie hits home with a solid left hook.  
Sorlie is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Sorlie lands with a sharp jab.  
Sorlie lands a ramrod jab.  
Sorlie feints a left hook, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
Sorlie digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Maere is looking to close the distance.  Sorlie lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Maere walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Maere pivots from in front of his opponent.  Sorlie lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maere's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Maere's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Maere's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Sorlie feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.
