Ian Ewen vs Ian Shortt

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Cairns Storer, Cairns,  taking place on 16/04/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Ewen (16(8) - 1 - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Ian Shortt(10 - 15(1) - 5) from Cairns, Australia.  Both Ewen and Shortt weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Westwood, and the three ringside judges are Seth Urbano, Gareth Alford and Barry Forbes.  

Round 1: 

Ewen pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ewen lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen pushes his forearm into Shortt's face.  The ref breaks Ewen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Shortt throws a left uppercut, but Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Shortt pushes his forearm into Ewen's face.  The referee warns Shortt and breaks the clinch.  
Ewen manages to force Shortt into a corner.  Ewen is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Ewen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ewen is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Ewen digs in a firm right uppercut to Shortt's ribs.  
Ewen lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.

Shortt throws a left hook, but Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Ewen and breaks the clinch.  
Ewen walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Ewen lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ewen drives a stinging right uppercut into Shortt's ribs.

Ewen lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ewen hits home with a sharp cross.  Ewen tries to land a cross, but Shortt sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ewen steps inside and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  
Ewen connects with a left hook.  
Shortt throws a left hook, but Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ewen to stop holding.  
Ewen lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ewen steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.
