Robert Cherigat vs Owen Cherigat

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Ruiru Msolla, Ruiru,  taking place on 28/11/2038:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Kiambu Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Cherigat (31(27) - 7(7)) who hails from Kikuyu, Kenya and Owen Cherigat(4 - 5 - 1) from Kikuyu, Kenya.  Both Robert and Owen weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Lai, and the three ringside judges are Amon Itote, Ian Nanji and Azam Taheri.  

Round 1: 

Robert sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Robert cuts off the ring, trapping Owen in the corner.  Robert sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Robert lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Robert holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Robert pushes his forearm into Owen's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Robert hits home with a cross.  
Robert steps inside and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Robert ties up his opponent.  Robert is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Robert and breaks the clinch.  
Robert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  Owen wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Robert dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Robert lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Robert holds on to his opponent.  Robert leans on his opponent using all his weight. Robert uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Owen behind the head. 
Robert manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Robert lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Robert lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  Robert ties up his opponent.  Robert leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Robert is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Owen throws a left uppercut, but Robert clinches his opponent.  Robert is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Robert tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Owen behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Robert.  
Robert lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Robert sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Robert lands a right uppercut.  Robert holds on to his opponent.  Robert leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Robert attempts to land a left hook, but Owen sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Robert forces Owen to retreat onto the ropes.  Robert lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Owen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Robert hits home with a cross.  
Owen throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Robert closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Owen's body.  
Robert manouvers Owen into a neutral corner.  Robert lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Robert pivots to the left of his opponent.  Robert hits home with a right hook.  Robert clinches his opponent.  Robert leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Owen's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Owen's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Owen's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Robert lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Robert is on target with a firm cross.  
Robert advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Owen parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Robert's body.  
Robert steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Robert drives a stinging right hook into Owen's ribcage.  
Robert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Robert lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Robert senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Owen and just needs the right shot.  Robert lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS OWEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Owen now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Robert closes the distance and drives a weighty right hook into his opponents ribs.  OWEN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Robert lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Owen recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Robert lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Robert lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Robert lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Robert drives a left uppercut into Owen's liver.
