John Nimmo vs Herreman Retief

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Robina Stadium, Gold Coast,  taking place on 18/09/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Commonwealth Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Professor John Nimmo (36(24) - 2 - 2) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Herreman Retief(17 - 10(5) - 1) from Boksburg, South Africa.  Both Nimmo and Retief weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Madden, and the three ringside judges are Mark Elgin, Geoff Birnie and Brendan Moultrie.  

Round 1: 

Nimmo advances into close range and drives a left hook into Retief's body.
