David Diego vs Greg Canal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-New Mexico promoted show at Albuquerque Picken, Albuquerque,  taking place on 07/09/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-New Mexico Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Diego (17 - 6(2) - 1) who hails from Albuquerque, USA and Greg Canal(2 - 0) from Albuquerque, USA.  Both Diego and Canal weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqas Saah, and the three ringside judges are Danyaal Zehri, Robert Gemmill and Gus Maddix.  

Round 1:

Canal tries to step out of his opponents range.  Diego sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Canal finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Canal steps inside.  Diego throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Canal ties up his opponent.  Diego leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Diego steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Canal blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
