Rodrigo Vera vs Dave Pollock

Boxing Daily Report from the ALT Promotions promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 25/09/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Arizona Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rodrigo Vera (20(10) - 0) who hails from Surprise, USA and Dave Pollock(11 - 15 - 6) from Gilbert, USA.  Both Vera and Pollock weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Faisal Akel, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Febus, Callum Pareja and Javier Morena.  

Round 1: 

Vera hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Vera lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Vera feints a cross, but Pollock ignores the feint and lands with a cross.  
Vera tries to keep the action at long range.  Vera feints a left, and then is on target with a sharp jab.  
Pollock is looking to close the distance.  Vera pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Pollock manages to force Vera onto the ropes.  Vera lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Vera lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Vera clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Vera pushes his forearm into Pollock's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vera to stop fouling.

Vera tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a hurtful overhand left.  POLLOCK IS DOWN!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Vera!
