Jake Cure vs Leighton Newman

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Oliver Benichou Gym, Edmonton,  taking place on 19/08/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jake Cure (24 - 13(2)) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Leighton Newman(17 - 15 - 1) from Calgary, Canada.  Cure weighed in at 168 pounds, while Newman weighed in at 167 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Oscar Lewis, and the three ringside judges are Amon Adie, Louis Cauldwell and Robert Methvin.  

Round 1: 

Cure is on target with a stinging cross.
