Joaquin Rondon vs Francisco Roa

Boxing Daily Report from the Dumashie Promotions promoted show at Barquisimeto Alcoser, Barquisimeto,  taking place on 08/08/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Lara Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Rondon (19(8) - 4(3)) who hails from Barquisimeto, Venezuela and Francisco Roa(6 - 4 - 1) from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  Rondon weighed in at 140 pounds, while Roa weighed in at 139 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Gomez, and the three ringside judges are Diego Penaloza, Gervasio Peno and Santiago Cardiel.  

Round 1: 

Rondon connects with a firm cross.

Roa throws a right hook, but Rondon clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rondon pushes his forearm into Roa's face.  The ref breaks Rondon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rondon closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Rondon forces Roa to retreat into a corner.  Rondon lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Rondon closes the distance.  Roa throws a right uppercut, but Rondon ties up his opponent.  Rondon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Rondon pushes his forearm into Roa's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rondon about fouling.  
Rondon hits home with a right hook.  
Rondon lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.

Rondon steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Rondon clinches his opponent.  Roa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rondon walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Rondon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Rondon steps inside.  Rondon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Rondon lands a solid left hook.  
Rondon throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Rondon ties up his opponent.  Rondon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Rondon senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Rondon lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Roa now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Rondon advances into close range and drives a right uppercut into Roa's ribs.

Rondon steps inside.  Rondon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS ROA TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Rondon walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Roa throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rondon DETONATES a FIERCE left uppercut on his opponents face.  ROA IS DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT ROA IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Rondon!
