Chris Cochran vs Sam Shumway

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Connecticut promoted show at Kaamba Gym, Stamford,  taking place on 07/08/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Cochran (17 - 2 - 1) who hails from Waterbury, USA and Sam Shumway(7 - 3 - 5) from Stamford, USA.  Cochran weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces, while Shumway weighed in at 117 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Boal, and the three ringside judges are John Kippen, John Hilton and Ethan Boliver.  

Round 1: 

Cochran closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cochran steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Cochran is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Cochran ties up his opponent.  Cochran tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Shumway behind the head.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shumway dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Shumway.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
