Bruce Lowe vs Steven Flynn

Boxing Daily Report from the Eddie Burns promoted show at Los Angeles Cavins, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/08/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-California Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bruce Lowe (7 - 1) who hails from San Jose, USA and Steven Flynn(16 - 15(1) - 3) from Fremont, USA.  Both Lowe and Flynn weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Ducat, and the three ringside judges are Sean Drews, Ben Avila and Patrick Hardie.  

Round 1: 

Lowe is on target with a left hook.  
Lowe walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Lowe lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Lowe lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Flynn tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.  
Lowe is looking to close the distance.  Lowe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Flynn throws a left hook, but Lowe clinches his opponent.  Lowe is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Lowe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lowe feints a cross, but Flynn does not fall for it and is on target with a cross.  
Lowe lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Lowe forces Flynn to back into the corner.  Lowe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lowe lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Lowe clinches his opponent.  Lowe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lowe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lowe pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Flynn's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Flynn's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Flynn's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
