Ben Zola vs Chris Meredith

Boxing Daily Report from the Southpaw Promotions promoted show at James Meggett Gym, Providence,  taking place on 07/08/2038:

Clearly Southpaw Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Rhode Island Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ben Zola (10 - 10(2) - 6) who hails from Providence, USA and Chris Meredith(17 - 13 - 4) from Providence, USA.  Both Zola and Meredith weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Echevarria, and the three ringside judges are John Montoya, Charlie Mate and David Bellillo.  

Round 1: 

Meredith stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Zola is on target with a right hook.  
Meredith closes the distance.  Meredith pivots to the left of his opponent.  Zola is on target with a left hook.  
Meredith gets on the inside.  Zola connects with a right uppercut.  
Zola tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.  
Zola is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Meredith finds the target with a jab.
