David Kemp vs Max Carrick

Boxing Daily Report from the Kronk Gym II promoted show at Detroit Kolodziejczyk, Detroit,  taking place on 06/08/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Great Lakes Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Kemp (16(3) - 2 - 1) who hails from Grand Rapids, USA and Max Carrick(24 - 13(1) - 3) from Chicago, USA.  Kemp weighed in at 175 pounds, while Carrick weighed in at 174 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Max Gura, and the three ringside judges are Jasper Mudie, Andy Duke and Chris Pakkarinen.  

Round 1: 

Kemp is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kemp drives a left hook into Carrick's ribs.  
Kemp drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Kemp attempts to land a left hook, but Carrick blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Kemp advances into close range and manages to force Carrick into the corner.  Kemp sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Carrick tries to land a right hook, but Kemp sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Kemp lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kemp lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kemp lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Carrick tries to keep the action at long range.  Kemp lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Kemp digs in a left hook to Carrick's body.  
Kemp is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Carrick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kemp lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kemp closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Carrick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kemp lands an overhand left.  
Carrick connects with a cross.  
Kemp steps inside.  Kemp lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Kemp wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carrick dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carrick's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Carrick's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Kemp gets on the inside.  Kemp pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Carrick tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kemp steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kemp steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Carrick could be stopped here, if Kemp can find the right shot!  Kemp digs in a potent right hook to Carrick's ribcage.  CARRICK IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Carrick now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kemp digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Kemp walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Kemp digs in a right hook to Carrick's body.  
Kemp lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kemp pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Carrick switches the action to the outside.  Kemp lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kemp walks his opponent into the corner.  Kemp lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kemp is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Carrick is clearly losing his cool here!   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref halts the action and sends Kemp to the neutral corner.    He tells Carrick to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Kemp is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Kemp holds on to his opponent.  Kemp leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Kemp's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carrick feints a right hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Kemp is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Kemp steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Kemp clinches his opponent.  Kemp leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Kemp lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND SENDS CARRICK TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Kemp!
