Michi Iwai vs Raiden Uchida

Boxing Daily Report from the Jely Pr. promoted show at IMP Hall, Osaka,  taking place on 14/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Osaka Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michi Iwai (34(5) - 7(4) - 1) who hails from Higashiosaka, Japan and Raiden Uchida(25 - 7(3) - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Both Iwai and Uchida weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naoki Koyama, and the three ringside judges are Kazuhiko Matsunaga, Hiroki Watanabe and Shinji Iseri.  

Round 1: 

Iwai lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Iwai pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to Uchida's body.  
Iwai advances into close range.  Iwai sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Iwai is on target with a right hook.  Iwai attempts to land a right hook, but Uchida blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Iwai steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Uchida steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Uchida wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Iwai dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Iwai gets on the inside.  Uchida goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Iwai time to recover.  
Iwai is looking to close the distance.  Uchida quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Iwai lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Iwai steps inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Uchida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Uchida throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Iwai tries to keep the action at long range.  Uchida sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Iwai lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Uchida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Iwai lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Iwai advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Iwai drives a right hook into Uchida's ribcage.  
Uchida quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Uchida tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Iwai is on target with a left hook.  
Iwai steps inside.  Uchida pivots to the left of his opponent.  Uchida attempts to land a left hook, but Iwai parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Iwai lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Iwai steps inside.  Uchida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Iwai lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Iwai switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iwai's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Uchida's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Uchida's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Uchida's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Iwai is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Uchida throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Iwai hits home with a solid left hook.  Iwai holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Iwai pushes his forearm into Uchida's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Iwai about fouling.
