Xaver Ballon vs Venacio Maya

Boxing Daily Report from the Atsu Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo Oeste Montealeg, Santo Domingo Oeste,  taking place on 19/04/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xaver Ballon (15 - 11(1) - 3) who hails from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic and Venacio Maya(21(2) - 4) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  Ballon weighed in at 245 pounds and 2 ounces, while Maya weighed in at 237 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Malvolio Sanzo, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Bras, Joaquin Onate and Quito Suero.  

Round 1: 

Maya lands a jab.  
Maya drives a right hook into Ballon's body.

Maya gets on the inside.  Ballon throws a right hook, but Maya holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Maya pushes his forearm into Ballon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Maya to stop fouling.  
Maya is looking to close the distance.  Maya lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Maya dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Maya digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ballon's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Ballon's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Maya's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Ballon manages to force Maya into the red corner.  Maya lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS BALLON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Maya!
